Hello,
We are the parents of the children studying at the Papaya Academy and Cashew Learning Center near the Payatas garbage dump. Many of us earn our income by gathering and separating garbage. Our children receive good education and are given the opportunity to develop according to their own abilities, while we, the parents, are also involved in their educational program.

While our children are studying, we are working to structurally change our current situation to provide better future perspectives for all of us. To this end, we have developed the Piña Project in a joint effort with the schools of our children.

Piña is the Filipino word for pineapple, which is very easy to grow. When you have eaten the fruit, just plant the top and it will grow! This is why we consider it to be a "recyclable fruit" and this fits very well with our project's objective: to make and sell products out of recycled materials.

Today, we present to you our first line of hand made products from recycled materials. We hope you enjoy them and thank you very much for your support!
